Historic Walking Tour

In this one-hour tour, visitors will be led around the grounds of our beautiful resort by local historians George Webber and CW Bayer. Through this interactive tour, visitors will discover the incredible history of Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa, the surrounding area, and the mineral-rich waters than have been drawing visitors to this region for over 100 years. During the tour, Mr. Webber or Mr. Bayer will portray some of the most notable figures in Sonoma’s history: Captain Henry Earnest Boyes, Reverend Thaddeus Leavenworth, and Rudy Lichtenberg.

WINTER SCHEDULE: Guided walking tour starts at 10am in the lobby on December 6, February 14, and April 4. No Reservations required for these dates. Reservations for additional dates can be reserved at www.georgewebber.com/aguaricatour.

About George Webber & CW Bayer

Since 2001, actor-historian George Webber has regaled thousands with historic re-enactment walking tours of Sonoma and Napa, wine lectures, historic events, original plays, and more. Performing as a variety of different characters, George Webber is a living legend in Sonoma. Bayer and Webber also appear every week on two radio shows on KSVY, Sonoma’s volunteer radio station: “Radio Theatre of the Wild West” on Sundays at 6 p.m. and “CW’s Roots Music” on Fridays at 1 p.m.
